In order to improve the customer experience, Goodmill Systems develops continuously its product offering. Now in March, as a huge leap, we released new versions of all our basic system building blocks. We updated our multichannel router, our fleet management system and added a new tunnelling method to our portfolio.
The new multichannel router w24h-S2 has been optimized to support 5G networks while it of course is very suitable for LTE networks as well. However, the increased data rates of 5G require more antennas due to their required 4×4 MIMO setup. The new router can simultaneously support up to three 5G links and a Wi-Fi 6 user interface. It is also noteworthy that the GNSS functionality has been upgraded to support Dead Reckoning feature. This is very important in circumstances where the GNSS signal is being jammed.
For certain customer cases, where not a single packet can be lost and latencies have to be as low as possible, Goodmill has developed a new tunnelling method. This packet duplication scheme copies the packets to all active links and then at the other end picks the first packet to arrive for use. Of course, we keep supporting the earlier tunnelling methods and encryption functionality as well.
Goodmill Systems is also happy to release the whole new Manager 2 platform of our fleet management system. It contains quite many improvements; while the user interface has been greatly modernized, the new release brings many advantages for group operations of the router fleet. Further, it includes many advanced tools for remote SW upgrades, even for the firmware upgrades of the 3rd party mobile modules inside the router.
